On tap at The Upper Lip.
Black with a thin, dark brown head that falls off rapidly, this looks decent. The nose is excellent. Cocoa, mild coffee, a little caramel, dry and earthy, this is great! A touch of lactic acid is present. The palate opens with a pronounced lactic sourness with a touch of vinegar, pairing quite nicely with the dusty cocoa and mildly creamy coffee. Drying, tart and lime like on the finish, this beer has a lingering roast and cocoa character. Very good, especially for the ABV. While the first few sips are a little watery, this comes alive as it warms up.

Very mild with just the right amount of sour. The roast level was apparent in not only the color, but the finish. Incredibly smooth and fairly pleasant, but it left me with no overall impression. Unfortunately, it was quite forgettable.

Served On-Tap
A — Pours a deep dark brown hue, it's actually quite translucent and almost black, but not quite.
S — Smells of lacto and a bit of a dark nutty roastiness.
T — Taste is light, but consists of light roast, bitter coffee, some light chocolate, but really it is focused on the sour aspect, really nice and tart.
M — Light in body, clean and quick finish.
O — Very nicely done, dark sours are a bit of a mind game but this one is really well done.
