A 330ml bottle with a BB of Aug 2018 (bottled Nov 2017). Acquired a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. I'm curious as to where the location on the label is.
A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A bright, hazy amber hue with moderate carbonation and fine suspended sediment. Yields a huge head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of fruity hops with hints of citrus zest, sharp berries, mild tropical fruit, white grape, faint grass, earthy yeast and pale malt. Understated but pleasantly balanced.
T: Tastes of aromatic hops with notes of tart berries, citrus, peel, subtle tropical fruit, white grape, mild grass/hay, earthiness, ale yeast and pale malt. Pretty dry, followed by a crisp, delicate bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, lightly tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and good body. Slightly astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of aromatic hops, berries, mild citrus, light bitterness, earthy yeast and pale malt.
O: Rather nice, though lacking intensity. Possibly due to the hop varieties used. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour showcase subtle fruity hops underpinned by pale malt and earthy yeast. Nice body. Certainly drinkable - worth sampling if you come across it.
