Copenhagen 21/2 2026. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. The version I am drinking holds an ABV of 4,2. Purple can with the silhouette of a fellow climbing rocks.

Pours slightly unclear amber with a small white head. Settles as a 0,1 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a light citric scent. Caramel, biscuits and toffee. Bread. Citrus and grains.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.

Nice well balanced ESB which can roam my fridge anytime.

As traditional as a best bitter as you could hope for, with all the classic characteristics present and correct. A perfect example of the type. Best drunk and after a long walk in the hills, fire and wet dog optional.

Can. Unfiltered and unpasteurised. Over excessive thick frothy head. Almost clear gold.
Traditional fruity smell balanced with hints of malt which continues into the taste. Lightly bitter.
Light refreshing feel.
Tasted good once I was through the deep sudsy head.
