Copenhagen 5/5 2022. 44 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Fiery can with a charging Phoenix rising from the flames.
Pours opaque hazy, slightly dirty yellow with a big white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor with a touch of limonade and sharp citric notes. Peach and mango. Grapefruit and citrus. Whiff of mustard.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Quite gentle and civilized for a Phoenix.

440ml can.
L: Hazy, golden yellow with a short-lived head.
S: Quite vegetal. There’s citrus in there somewhere but it’s dominated by brussel sprout.
T: Grapefruit, lemon rind, melon. Very harsh and underbaked.
F: Thin, verging on watery. Light carbonation. Almost dry.
O: Nasty, acidic, lightweight. Not in the slightest bit juicy. Couldn’t drink it. A poor APA but a catastrophic NEIPA.
——————————————-
Couldn’t believe Buxton would produce an ale as bad as that so sampled and rated again in July 2023. Was better this time. Might have got a tainted beer first time around.
400ml can.
L: Opaque, orange/yellow colour with two fingers of lumpy, bright white head and spotty lacing.
S: Apricot, peach and a burst of lemon zest.
T: Follows the nose plus orange pith. Gentle bitterness
F: Soft, lightly powdery mouthfeel. Dry finish.
O: Very happy to revise the rating upwards. No off flavours or aroma this time and much better mouthfeel. A decent English interpretation of a hazy IPA.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%. Moderately hazy yellow colour, large white head. Aroma of mango, papaya and other tropical fruits, also yellow stonefruits. Medium sweet and chewy flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also hints of citrus and pine needles. Low bitterness.
