Copenhagen 8/3 2023. 40 cl from draft at Tap 21, H.C Ørstedsvej, Frb. C.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor with a light earthy touch. Caramel, toffee and chocolate. Tobacco and soil.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit flat but with a little fizz.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet toffee.
Perfectly nice and quite British.
