A: Ice tea-orange coloring of medium heavy density with a oatmeal tinted head atop that was thin, skimmy and short lived, perhaps as a result from a growler pour within 12 hrs. Within a faint, slow rise of effervesce makes it way upwards at its leisure.
S: Nose of applesauce, wet citrus and oranges is most noticeable. There is a strong backing of fresh, sweet caramel grains. Level of intensity was in the range of light to moderate. Finishes out with some sweet tea and citrus.
T: Flavor was applesauce with a spicy bite of bright oranges and a zesty hopping. Caramel-lemony flair was wet and fresh with a moderate abv% that doesn't interfere but adds a soothing aspect of warmth to the situation. Juice of mandarin oranges, red grapes with some sweet raisiny speciality grains. There is indications of cola, as well a fresh wet fruitiness, bubblegum yeastiness, belgian candi sugar sweetness, sweet tea, hint of clove and some honey. Overall fairly complex and sweet natured.
M: Mid-range body depth, fair carbonation factor, spicy with a gentle alcohol warmth.
O: Overall highly drinkable, a bit more darker and sweeter then your usual tripel, seems to have a heavy helping of speciality grains but yields a fairly good flavor and range of complexity, fruity and sweet with a clean sense of drinkability.
