On tap last night at the Brewpub. This is a one time offering based on a home brew recipe by a professor at nearby Bloomsburg University.(The brewpub does many one-off barrels). I'm guessing from the math dept. And how can you pass up a beer with a great name like this?
Menu described the beer as "ordinary english ale" A quick breeze through Wikipedia gave English Bitter as the most appropriate style, on the "Session" end of things rather than "Best Bitter".At 3.5abv, it's likely the lowest alcohol beer I've had in decades. And I'm English to boot!
Arrives at the table in a 10oz glass. Looking nice, a deep reddish copper color with a slightly off white head, which maintained until about 3/4 way through the drink. Lacing was light but interesting. Carbonation was difficult to assess due to color and being in a darker corner of the pub.
Smell was quite interesting. A rich smell, lots of bready slightly sweet malts.
Taste was a full strong one, what you would expect from the nose. Kinda feel like I should be describing more flavors
Mouth was between thin and medium, some bitter and sour hints on various taste buds. At the finish I got a odd experience of a slight vegetably wash. Bu this was not in any way unpleasant.
Overall, glad I got to try this one. Thanks prof!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
