- Growler poured into a speigelau ipa glass within 24 hrs.
A: Thin creamy beige head sits rather shortly atop a pumpkin orange colored body with a pristine clarity. Light spacious rise of effervesce. Low lace coverage on the vessel. A second, more forceful pour produced a more monumental capping, one inch strong, sturdy foam piecework with a bready texture topping with micro bubbly coating. Lace stickage increases here with a respectable amount of coverage adding points from the first pour.
S: Citrusy orange pale ale aromatics with good awareness. Aroma is short lived leading to some bready-pine notes with a soft, dry floral fade off the tongue.
T: Flavor is flowery hops, citrus, lightly dry and edgy, dry orange peel. Hints of grapefruit pulp and dry tropical and floral hop notes rounds things out. Some whole bready grain backing.
M: Dry mouthful, flowery citrus adds texture and roughness as well warmth on the inner cheeks. Light carbonation with a rough flowery coating after swallow.
O: Generally good pale ale hopped lager, ipl, or whatever you may go by. Clean drinkability, easy lager crisp quality with a bonus of hops that seem to increase deeper into the drink. Makes for multiple worthy experience, easy conversation pub setting.
