On-tap at the brewpub earlier tonight.
Served in a pint glass, didn't see the pour. Head is typical of a pub pour: almost none because they are trying to get the glass pretty close to full. That's alright. Color is the dark brown with red highlights that a Dubbel should be.
Nice malty-sweet aroma with the Belgian yeast coming through. Once again, where a Dubbel should be, although maybe a little sweet.
The taste backs up the nose: a touch on the sweet side, but otherwise a very solid rendition of the style. Carbonation is good and mouthfeel is nice.
I like Dubbels, it's one of my favorite Belgian styles and one of the things that turned me on to good beer. I've even brewed one before. But I've found myself gravitating to drier beers lately, so I'm not sure I could have more than one or two of these in a sitting. I'm not going to blame the beer for a shift in my palate, but this is on the sweet end of the acceptable taste spectrum for the style.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
