A: Poured from a growler a cola color with orangish highlights which comes off a chocolate brown in the vessel. Strong backlighting reveals no visible signs of carbonation. Small sandstone head, a finger high, is bready and patchy lasting only momentarily before lapsing to a polished surface. No window dressing.
S: Sweet rich chocolate, cocoa powder and some chocolate licorice. Nice scent and strength.
T: Flavor was sweet and nutty, toasted caramel and chocolate roast with some scothcy alcohol mention. Cocoa, sweet chocolate base with a touch of cinnamon grahmm cracker spiciness, honey and cola with a light mention of fresh coffee grounds. Alcohol spiciness of nutmeg with a faint undefined fruitiness perhaps from the yeast.
M: Mouthful is malty with some chocolate powder traces, medium bodied with a near quiet carbonation.
O: Decent complexity, easy and smooth drinkability. Sweet and nutty with a bit of woodsy touch. Comes off a bit boozy at times.
