This was quite a lightweight pale ale but drinkable nonetheless.

The seventh bottle in a mixed 12-pack that I recently bought from the Jack Russell Brewing Co. I ordered it directly from their Website, the service was excellent, both packing & delivery was spot-on.
Jack Russell Whitewater Pale Ale comes in a 12oz bottle, but unlike the other offerings from Jacks, this comes in a short stubby bottle with a screw-off cap. It has just the one main obverse label, which has an aqua blue background with an inverted horseshoe that has a real Photograph of some daring dudes whitewater rafting and wait? Is that a Jack Russell Dog in the front of the Raft?!?!? No Freshness Date, but it listed as 5.5% ABV.
It pours with a beautiful looking pellucid body, dark amber with coppery hints that give off a fantastic golden treacle colored sparkle when back-lit. The head is a light beige color comprised of large bubbles that form a ¼ thick aerated head that allows you to see the beer underneath. High levels of conditioning that simmer down quickly.
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Breathe In, Breathe Out:
Nasal Braille for a British Pale Ale.
Marvelously rich toasted malts rapidly bring the beer into focus, it parades hops in the middle that have a delicate lemon twinge which in turn have a mild spicy finish. It has a light caramel finish, of the nutty kind, but the ending leaves a clean bitter swipe. Tasty, the toasted malts are particularly flavorsome, whilst the hops fully contribute to the back end.
A Solid mouthfeel, the levels of conditioning aided this beer no end, and lend a polish to a rather average feel with a definitive above average shine. The caramel licks on the tongue at times.
The perfect balance of malts and hops, with an extra boost from the right levels of conditioning, results in one seriously drinkable Pale Ale.
Overall: I really enjoyed this one, this is a very good Pale Ale; it is rich and well-balanced and is a real quaffer.

Medium amber/copper color. Small head. Aroma is malty and a touch fruity. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are citrusy and slightly bitter. It's slightly unbalanced toward the hops, and a fairly standard Pale Ale. It's very drinkable, but there is nothing to distinguish it from ant other American Pale Ale. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it leave this beer lost in the legions of similar APAs. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is bitter.
