Hazy dirty blonde with a steady film of off white. 3.75
Soap, mango, grass, and mint over bread sough. 3.75
Solid caramel shortbread, then tangerine, some dank, passionfruit, and peach with hints of onion and white melon. 3.75
Nectarine finish and light chalk to end.
Medium, chewy, some oil. 4
Simcoe, Vic Secret, Centennial, Apollo and El Dorado.
Maybe I’m drinking too many on-trend aroma-forward DIPAs lately, but I’m struck by how much the malts are hitting - the Vienna body is definitely coming through. Hops are sticky over juicy and nuanced - too many bittering hops as aroma additions? - and 57 IBUs not on. It’s deep and strong - almost a baby barleywine; but missing that brightness I’ve so come to love recently.
A warning track double. 4
