look: one to two finger sudsy white head with decent retention and a bit of lacing, beer is a clear golden to amber colour, a few bubbles rising through the beer.
smell: not particularly aromatic but not unpleasant, lots of mild hoppy fruit flavours coming through, citrus fruits, lot of passion fruit, and some caramel sweetness too, maybe some red grape as well.
taste: yeah it’s grand , caramel sweetness from the malts come through first, then some of the sweeter fruit flavours, namely passion fruit, and then a gentle hit of hop bitterness on the finish with some pink grapefruit flavours, maybe a bit of diacetyl, not a lot going on really but it’s a fine session ale.
feel: light bodied, highly carbonated, sessionable of course, a lil oily maybe.
overall: does what it says on the tin, it’s a drinkable session ipa, just fine.
