Originating in the South Pacific, this storm rotates clockwise, opposite to a Hurricane. This IPA contains generous helpings of Down Under hops: NZ Pacifica, NZ Motueka and Aussie Ella. That means complex orange, grapefruit and spice notes and South Pacific brewing heaven. Batten down the hatches; this brew will knock your socks off.

On tap at Farrington's, Dublin.
Burnished brass with steady white foam that sheets and rings.
Floral, nectarine and candied tangerine on the nose.
Butter cookie with some nutty toast then grass, grapefruit rind, potpourri and dried papaya at the end.
Late toffee comeback and dried hay and skunky twig finish and bitter herb linger.
Lt-med, crisp, round.
Brewed with Moteuka, Pacifica and Ella; the Antipodean entry for Eight Degrees' #hopoff.
Paler, lighter in body aroma and flavor and crisper than Hurricane. Less aroma hopping and more IBUs, too, and I'm not sure why you'd pick such Noble-esque hops - aka Pacific Hallertau and B Saaz - when NZ hops usually evoke fruit. There are traces of citrus but this is all spice, almost to the point of tasting over-dry hopped. Hopped almost like an imperial Pils.
Quality, but esoteric.
