The IPA is the flagship Bo Bristle brew. The recipe was crafted over a number of years by our master brewer. The IPA balances passionfruit & tropical fruit hops with biscuity marris otter malts to create the distinctive Bo Bristle taste.

500ml Bottle from SuperValu, Ennistown, Ireland (€3.59):
Prior to trying this, I was expecting quite a tropical beer with plenty of hop bitterness & a good variety of fruit coming through but it turned out to be a lot more English in style, evening seeming a touch bland at times. Going into this one with no expectations you'd likely come away thinking it was a fairly okay beer & one that went down easy enough but I was expecting something a lot more from it and as a result it's not likely to be one I'd pick up again sadly.

500ml bottle as part of an Irish hamper. This is an Irish IPA that is very light and not very hoppy. Some slight citrus flavor and some bread and malts. This is an ok beer but needs to reach higher in many directions including hops and bitterness though in saying that is an ok Session IPA

Bottle at Saint Soul Food, Dublin, Ireland
A: The beer is clear yellow amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down and left a patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of plantains and amber malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste is somewhat maltier compared to the taste and is slightly sweet. Only slight bits of bitterness are perceptible.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes more like an English IPA and isn't very hoppy.
