A new beer for the Irish craft beer scene, first brewed in 2011. This was a tasting on 29.07.2011; a 330 ml brown bottle with "best by" date of Jan '12 and batch 111 hand written on the label.
It pours a pale straw coloured brew with a thin head, no lacing. Bubbles rising.
The smell was interesting with a sweetness to it. It tasted something a bit like a kolsch, more than a pilsner. It tasted better than euro pale lagers and a nice brew to have while barbecuing. It is quite drinkable and I hope it does well for them, but it will be hard to attract beer drinkers away from what thye arew used to with this. Their "blond" is a better beer, in my view.
