November 2005: Pleasant but not very strong aroma, malty flavour characterized by caramel and spices. More hoppy bitterness than other Norwegian bayers. An excellent accompaniment with beef and game dishes, also as an ingredient in the very same dishes! Not as good as Aass Bayer, though, but decent.

Picked up a half liter can from a Rema 1000 for a decent price, much cheaper than draft beers at bars and restaurants in Oslo. Didn’t expect a Munich Dark Lager style but it makes sense with the name. Flavor and feel are pretty solid, this is a surprisingly good beer.

1/2pint can.
Tastes more like a Munich dunkel rather than a Vienna lager. Caramel and chocolate malts. Light. Earthy. Pilsner like. Pretty easy drinking.
Not a bad beer, just nothing special.
