June 2012: Rerate, 500 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, large white head. Sweetish aroma with floral and herbal notes. The flavour is medium sweet and fairly sugary for a pilsener, with far too little bitterness. Losing a couple points, I’m afraid.
Original rating: One of the better Norwegian pilseners. Easily drinkable, but could with advantage be more heavily hopped, to balance the flowery and fruity sweetness.

This is my 1000th review. Thought this one is a weird one to do for that one.
A: single finger head on a clear bright and deep golden body with nice lacing.
S: strong odor, pale malts, musty hops and some funk to it.
T: fairly sweet, noble hop character although holds off on the bitterness. Breads, grain and pale malts make up the backbone
M: light body, a little oily and moderate carbonation.
Overall: nice flavor for the style. Not the best smelling beer but it was above my expectations.

A - Pours with one finger of white foam on top of a clear, golden body. The head fades at a moderate pace and leaves decent lace on the glass.
S - A grassy aroma of herbal hops and grainy malt.
T - Sweet, grainy malt up front with a touch of herbal hop flavor. The hop character is pushed aside by the malt sweetness in the finish and only light bitterness shows up to balance.
M - Medium body, moderate carbonation, and a sweet finish.
D - Certainly not a pilsner, but it is a pretty average Euro lager. Not much depth of flavor, but light and drinkable without approaching the unpleasant watery character of an American light lager.
