Our innovative brew is produced with a higher alcohol content, a sharp & dry accent, and a rich malt flavor. With a newly matured taste, this is the SPECIAL X.

Had this in Okinawa, normally would avoid happoshu’s but this was the last chance to get something from here on the airport. Was actually surprised, was expecting something worse but this turned out to be better than I expected. Again, this was not a happoshu in the sense they make them usually (spirits + beer flavor) but it had actual beer and some additional alcohol to reach the 6% ABV.
Tastes like a dark(er) lager or a festbock, maltier body than a regular lager. Had no foul aftertaste whatsoever, was quite pleasant to drink, not too sweet but rather round than sharp and dry (although the can claims it to be so).
All in all I was glad that I chose this cheap but Okinawa only beer over a pricey japanese craft beet (that usually ends up being a letdown).
Had a great time in Okinawa, will be back (for more beers ;)

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured a half finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of skunk from the sweet potatoes are present in the nose.
T: The taste is dominated by flavors of malts from the sweet potatoes and has a slight amount of sweetness. No hops are detectable.
M: It feels light-bodied and a little clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This doesn't seem like a bad Happoshu to have if you want to get a little buzz. The taste doesn't have any "off" flavors.
