From First Choice Liquor in Waurn Ponds. Drunk the day of purchase in November 2023.
L: I dropped the can, and it spurted out of a small crack, artery-like, before I poured it. Accordingly, it came out with a massive white head and then went relatively uncarbonated due to the near-explosive decompression in the can... The beer itself is a deep mahogany/scarlet colour, and the head, large as it was, was off-white.
S: Rich, dark malt; purple grape skins and juice, slight metallic note.
T: Rich and sweet, reminding me again of purple grape skin. Some harsh burnt malt notes linger - not unpleasantly - and there's a tangy, long finish.
M: It was hard to judge as it lost carbonation so quickly after my treatment, but it seemed ok for the beer.
O: The burnt malt note paired well with the grape notes I pulled from the beer. I hadn't planned to drink this one just yet, but since my clumsiness forced me to, I am glad I did.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
