Bell’s Winter Wheat

Wow, what a hard beer to catagorize.
What we have here is a sweet, malty, thick beer with a great wheat-like head that also has as much long-boiled Fuggles bittering hops as Fuller's EPA.

It's a bit of a cross-breed if you ask me. Anyways....

Pours a clear, dark straw (almost golden) colour with a healthy looking white head that sticks around for ages and nicely adheres to the side of the glass . Smell is malty sweet but not in the same way that I expect a wheat beer to smell. Bittering hops are quite evident in this brew and I feel it sort of covers up the otherwise light character of the wheat. Not a bad beer, though, and the mouthfeel is smooth, creamy and full. Drinkability is good, but not as good as many wheats are due to the bittering hops.
