On tap at brewery. Nice caramel aroma falls flat at first taste, bland, watery and uninteresting. Lively carbonation but no head. Amber body, sticky metallic finish.

Pours a iced tea hue which leaves a two finger creamy head and sporadic lacing, the smell is nutty and biscuty with also some earthy aromas aswell, the mouthfeel is light bodied and lacking with tastes of roasted chestnuts, biscuty malts,a touch of fruit and finished with a earthy bitter hoppiness and overall its not as nice as it looks and its abit of a let down as i remember this being alot better.

Had on tap at the brewery 16/08/11.
Pours a golden amber colour with off-white head, nice and dense with decent lace. Steady bead. Pretty good.
Smell is malty above all else. Caramel malt with unfortunate diacetyl aroma of butter that borders on buttery popcorn. Maybe slight dish detergent lemony fragrance at the back. Meh.
Taste is quite thin, with raw cereal grain coming through the mostly watery body. Husky nutty barley, quinoa and puffed rice. Slight bitterness on back but not really a lot of flavour, quite meh, not very impressed.
Fair malty body, touch of tinge from the carb. OK.
Just a fair bit of nothing on this beer. Not offensive though.

Drank from my Duvel Tulip
A - Pours, yes you guessed it, an Amber colour similar to an IPA
S - Plenty of malts here and really rather nice. Biscuit, Caramel and hints of chocolate dominating.
T - Up front there are some bitter notes, before the malts kick in. A dissapointing taste considering the promise shown by the aromas.
M - Overcarbonated for me with this style of beer, I was left with a real zing on the tongue which is inappropriate./
D - Not bad, but would not seek out again.

This pours a fairly clear, amber colour with a creamy off-white head.
Mild nutty aroma with a touch of dust. There's a little bit of lemon as well which doesn't bode all that well.
Mild nutty, biscuity malt but it falls a little flat. I'm not sure what's missing but it doesn't excite at all.
Medium body with moderate carbonation.
A drinkable but uninspiring beer.

Appearance - 3.0
As with my last Bootleg beer, the head is simply uncontrollable. I had to leave nearly half the beer in its 330mL bottle when pouring into my 400mL glass. Head is fluffy and off-white over a slightly cloudy amber body with lots of small suspended particles
Smell - 2.5
Slightly soapy, thin malt sweetness, not much here.
Taste - 3.0
A little caramel-like sweetness from the malt, golden syrup, toasted grains and moderate bitterness to balance.
Mouthfeel - 1.5
Highly carbonated and overly gassy. Just a few sips in and I am feeling quite bloated and needing to belch. Completely off for the style.
Drinkability - 2.5
The only thing that reduces drinkability is how ridiculously over-carbonated the beer is. Otherwise it would have been an easy drinker.
OVERALL - 2.7
This is another beer that I wanted to like, but was let down by one major and several minor flaws. As I am typing this summation I am still uncontrollably belching from the over-carbonation.
