Best beer I've had from 5 Rabbit; truly excellent. Bottle says "Barleywine Style Ale Aged 8 Months in Red Wine Barrels." The aroma and flavor are driven by figs and caramel, some plum / prune notes, decent oak, a bit of marzipan nuttiness. Almost port like in flavor. The only knock on the flavor and aroma is a lack of depth; both are excellent but don't really linger or transform. Body is medium to full without being sticky or cloying. Sweetness is kept in check and the alcohol is never really present.
