500ml bottle with hot pink logo stamp. Not sure of bottling date, but purchased in February, 2018 at the brewery.
Look is golden and lightly clouded, with a couple of floaties and erratic rising bubbles, reminds me of apple or pear juice.
Strong yeasty fruity esters including tart apple, pear, guava, agave, and lime and vinous leaning.
Flavors match. Tart citrus lime, apple, kiwi, and a hint of agave I assume from tequila barrel aging. I also want to associate the rounded back end to the barrel, but I can't specifically identify any woody character. Very bright, sharp, and tart at the front which then rounds off at the end.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp and finishes just short of dry.
Tasted 3/31/2018 500ml bottle with teal logo stamp. Not sure of bottling date, but purchased same day at the brewery. Look is much lighter in color than the tequila barrel aged, more like a dull cloudy yellow. Similar aroma as far as yeast, without a fruit focus, and much more vinous. Very reminiscent of a chardonnay. I didn't have these side by side, but there are slight differences in the two varieties.
Overall a very nice change of pace. Clean and bright for a warm sunny day. Try either with burgers, maybe not bbq, but definitely whitefish and/or a salad. And don't be afraid, these will be fine with roasted vegetables and finer green salads.

The prickly pear is the star. Tastes like a sweettart. Quenching tartness balanced with the fruit and a nice dry finish. Really enjoyable to drink and complex.
