Format: a standard brown 330mL bottle with a tylish macro label. Purchased in a mixed case from the brewery at Kunda Park.
Appearance: pours a light amber colour with fine carbonation across the profile. A small white head jumps to a half-finger before settling to a thin cap.
Aroma: a very unusual aroma of quality rubber with some earth and a sweet sugar behind. Interesting, if a bit peculiar.
Taste: follows the nose, with a bit more emphasis on the earth and some biting grass hops. Like no other pilsner I have had.
Aftertaste: the flavours linger for a time, with more of that sweet sugar flavour coming through on the finish.
Mouth feel: a medium body with medium carbonation. Spritely enough without being overwhelming.
Overall: a very unusual Czech pilsener - the flavour profile is unlike any I have had previously. Still quite decent and worth the drinking, if probably not one of my favourite beers from Sunshine Coast Brewery.
