Format: a standard brown 330mL bottle with a tylish macro label. Purchased in a mixed case from the brewery at Kunda Park.
Appearance: pours a strong amber-gold in colour with light carbonation and a thin white head. Looks decent for a mid.
Aroma: apparently I should be getting passionfruit, peach and melons. However, the aroma I'm getting is slightly lighter version of the Sunshine Coast Pilsner - I'd say it's the exact same beer with the ABV turned down. Funnily enough it is nicer a bit more muted.
Taste: again the Pilsner almost verbatim - earth, sugar, floral and rubber. Interesting, and nicer than the pilsner. Still full in flavour, but less sharp.
Aftertaste: some caramel coming through on the finish along with the rubber and earth.
Mouth feel: medium in body with a moderate carbonation. Pretty decent for a mid.
Overall: quite a nice low / mid pale ale. Very flavoursome for the ABV - very obviously a lighter version of their Pilsner, but all the better for it. A nice one, roughly at the same price as Rogers Beer for an equivalent case of 24 - and just as nice.

Golden with a tight little head. No freshness date and I'm a little suss about the age of this beer. Anyway, Caramelly, honey notes and some dull hops. Strangely, not particularly unpleasant though. I reckon this would be a good beer on tap. It has that bright fruitiness with very little bitterness. High carbonation and a decent finish. I don't dislike this but I don't love it either. I would love to try a freshun.

Served in a pint glass at the Grand Central Hotel on 10/8/08.
A - Pours a dark golden colour with a slight orange hue. A centimetre of white head falls away fairly quickly.
S - A woody, herbal hop aroma with a slight citrus hint.
T - The herbal hops come through also in the taste along with a light biscuit maltiness.
M - To the lighter side of medium bodied with a fairly high carbonation.
D - A 3.5% beer with enough flavour to keep things interesting and make a few pints a fair call.
