Formerly: Black Lager
Black Lager is a balanced lager with just enough roasted barley to make it dark. We based our recipe on a traditional Schwarzbier; boasting medium bitterness, hints of roasted coffee and chocolate, and a dry, crisp finish. We also added Grains of Paradise in the fermentor giving this beer a Belgian inspired spice note. Black Lager is only available on tap at our taproom in Two Harbors. Prost!

On tap at Castle Danger. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy traces of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted malt, light coffee notes and some chocolate. Nice roasted malt taste with coffee, caramel and chocolate.
