Maple Märzen blends traditional German malts and hops with local maple syrup. The result is a rich and toasty malt flavor with a strong maple character. The German Noble hops lend a subtle balancing spice to the beer but play second fiddle to the malt/maple profile. German lager yeast helps the Märzen stay crisp and clean tasting, letting the other ingredients shine through. This is a traditional lager style with an added Northwoods twist, making it a welcome addition to a sunny but cool autumn day or at any campfire.

Pours dark brown with a ruby tint when held to the light. The thick tan head dissipates quickly leaving a scant amount of lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt and charred coffee. Flavor follows with those two leading the way, some dark bread, caramel and only a hint of the maple. Feel is medium bodied, well carbonated. Overall, a great beer, not sure it really sure it fits into this category.

From a 12oz can canned on 07/24/24
This is a beautiful amber colored beer. A bit of carbonation rises in the glass. The head is an off white 3 finger sized head. The head retention is good, and there's good lacing on the glass.
The aroma is light. There's malty notes to it, but faint.
Taste - This beer has a roasted grainy hit up front. The grain has a good hit of maple on the back that adds another layer to this beer.
Bubbly body. Smooth feeling. Decent fullness.
While the aroma is a bit lacking, the flavor is quite good.

Maple Märzen pours a dark brown with a small, lacing, and long-lasting head. The aroma is lighter but has rich dark cereal, farm notes, and a hint of sweet maple. The flavor is dark cereal, harvest spices, roasted caramel, and maple—good body and feel. Overall, outstanding Marzen maple compliments this beer wonderfully.

12oz can. No dating information found.
Unfiltered, deep amber colored body. Three finger off white head. Scattered spots of lacing left behind.
Aroma is malty maple. Has a sweet smell.
Taste is initially a dark bread, toasted malt flavor, and then the sweet maple mixes in. Spicy, herbal hops. The maple flavor lasts into the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with a bit of spice and bitterness. Very good carbonation.
With the added maple, the beer remains well balanced and does not get too sweet. Probably not as sessionable as a more standard Marzen.
