Silo Brewing is not a full home-brew store. It's actually much more of the home-brew training facility. They provide all the materials and equipment, and you make the beer.
When you arrive at the facilities for your session you'll be greeted by Jason the proprietor and likely his wife. The Facilities themselves are small, but definitely adequate for the brewing sessions. The equipment is above what many home-brewers would use, but nothing super high tech. They provide all of the Kettles, Ale Pails, Carboys and utensils needed to make your selected homebrew.
You session fee gets you a choice of about a dozen home-brew kits, and they will order special ones if you have a certain something in mind. If it's something real high end a extra fee might be added. Costs also cover the propane and eventually plastic bottles when it comes bottling time.
If you're new to home-brewing and want to try things out before spending money on equipment this place is definitely worth a look. It's a bit out of the way in the northern limits of the Twin cities, but it's worth the trip.
