Pours a dark, hazy brown-orange into my pint glass, at first I thought this might be the wrong beer. Very low visibility, color is a rich caramel. A craggy head leaves large amounts of very intricate lacing patterns.
Pungent smell of fresh, grassy hops. Slightly dank and hard to pick out much malt in the nose, this guy is aggressive.
Taste is all Simcoe, so whatever that tastes like to you is what you'll get. For some reason Simcoe tastes like fried chicken to me, not sure why. There's an alcohol warmth in the middle with a nice grassy, semi-bitter finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Very good IPA that I'll definitely get again.
