I'm not an IPA type, but thought to give this one a try. For me, this brew wasn't as super hoppy as most seem to be nowadays. The bitterness was low, and the hops weren't overwhelming. I'd consider it a session IPA and found it extremely drinkable if you are looking for an IPA without the typical IPA kick.

The beer pours out a clear dark golden/amber color, with 1 finger of off white head--------- the aromas are of citrus, berries and tropical fruit-------- the flavors are of malts, breadiness, pine, citrus, mango and citrus pith, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a light bitterness on the finish---------- overall this beer was good - i was impressed by this one I haven't had a good beer from lost coast in a while and this one was tasty--

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/22/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. A bit muddy aromas. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Great Citra/Simcoe showcase. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
