On tap at Crafted art of the taco in Greensboro. Pours moderately hazy reddish orange color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing and streaming carbonation on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big juicy strawberry, orange peel, pear, apple, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass. Light-medium pine, herbal, grassy bitterness and yeast spiciness. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced creamy/bready wheat, sticky hops, and light resins in the mouthfeel. Increasingly dry, with minimal astringency. This had a good amount of strawberry presence and was quite refreshing. A little too bitter but it's an American style after all. Really enjoyable.

Clearish pink colour with a small white head. Good lacing.
Artificial strawberry aroma with plenty of sweetness. Reminiscent of Kool-Aid.
Sweet, sugary and full of artificial strawberry flavour. Kool-Aid is the only way to describe this.
Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
I don’t know why you would make this. Artificial as anything with lots of sugar. Just bad.

Lost Coast is always coming out with fruit wheat beers. This one, on tap at the Brewpub in Eureka, CA, came a very red strawberry color as befits its name and very cloudy as you would expect from a wheat. Nose of very much strawberry. Mouthfeel was brisk and flavor was strawberry, vanilla, and caramel. Flavor was quite sweet and finish was almost cloying. It was a decent fruit beer but a little too strong with the strawberry flavor for me, but if you like that particular berry than you will probably like this. I had a Cherry Lager first, and much preferred that, so it might have somewhat been the comparison.
