Light proof black colored beer with a small brown colored head.
Smells sweet and a bit smoky. Bit of a medicinal scent like you get from smoked beers. Scents of chocolate and smoke. Some vanilla oak and berry scents.
Starts out mildly sweet with a berry after taste. Taste of melon and berries. Chocolate and vanilla. Mostly the melon and berries flavor dominate. Tastes a bit like a gourmet vanilla, Berry and melon dessert. Almost tastes like a cake. No hint of the alcohol level.
Mouthfeel is good. Thick but not milkshake thick.
Overall this is a tasty concoction. I have paid far more than the $7 for far worse stouts.
