Pours black as night into a tulip glass. 1/2 finger tan head that dissipates to nothing in a couple minutes. Smell and taste are both more bittersweet chocolate and very dark roasted grains than vanilla. Perhaps the merest hint of chalk, but overall Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a bit of bitterness. Very lightly carbonated but very fine carbonation comes alive and is apparent in the mouthfeel. This was gifted to me so I can’t comment on the cost/pleasure but I like this. No fake additives in the taste on this.

chalky. meh. a little harsh. rare cask, indeed! disappointing....
