been here a few times..the vibe here is nice and chill..it never gets super crowded so there is always room to move around. The service here is very good..bartender is very attentive. With that said, the beers here are very bland and run of the mill..nothing here is exceptional, except maybe their X-mas ale, which is pretty decent. The pub does have a food menu, but I haven't had anything here.

Walked a good distance to get some beer and food here. The beer they could get for me, but I arrived too late for food, the kitchen was closed. Alas off to an empty table to sample my flight of six. It was pretty crowded around the bar but there were a few empty tables to choose from on a Friday night, although at this late hour the place seemed like it was turning into a night club. I had an issue with my headlight on the trip out here and had scraped my knuckles up pretty well fixing it. On the walk over here the knuckles decided to start bleeding again so when I ordered my flight my hand was wrapped in a bloody napkin from Mcdonald's. I know the bartender noticed but he never said anything, to this day I wonder what he was thinking about me. So anyhow 6 beers ranging from mediocre to good. Service was good price was decent. I enjoyed great flats more, but I'd go back for another bloody pub crawl.

Date May 20th. I tasted several of their beers and have to be honest, I really didn't care for them. The Bold Brown, Amber and Pale Ale had no finish to the taste and they all tasted slightly funky. I tried the Stout that my friend ordered and that wasn't much better. I overheard the bartender asking others how they like the beer. I was also asked but was honest in my answer and told them I didn't care for them. They took off tap a Southern
Tier IPA and UBU Ale and replaced them with their own brews. At $5.00 a pint it's certainly no bargain. Too bad, I really like the food and atmosphere but most likely won't go back until they get the beer tweaked in or add some others so I have a choice. In all fairness I believe these represent their first batches of beer. I wish them luck. There is a new place opening up a few blocks away, in a few weeks, that claim 25 taps initially (not a brewery). This is going to give the Van Dyck some serious competition.

Cheers
Correction, I was informed that the beer prices are $4.50. Sorry for my error.
P.S. The Porter is pretty good.
