This borders on a Double IPA, but the brewers say it's a Black IPA. Certainly very hop-forward.
Clear mahogany brown in the glass. Nicely capped with foam and plenty of lacing. Long, intense aroma of spicy hops. Somewhat acidic with a lot of the hoppy sharpness. Hot and a little harsh, but loads of hop flavor for the enthusiasts. A sharp finish as the bitterness continues to burn. A little woody and quite dry after the large maltiness burns off. The spicy, hoppy nose is quite exceptional.
Another well-made brew from Double Horn. On tap at the brewpub in Marble Falls.
