On draft, pours black with small dark tan head that disappears quickly.
Smells wonderful of soft bourbon and malts. Not too overpowering or too rich of bourbon. Feels really creamy and smooth; the base is an oatmeal stout and it holds on to that thick character. Very little carbonation, but it doesn't come across as flat.
Taste is wonderful. Bourbon forward that transitions smoothly into chocolate and vanilla. Nothing jumps out, but it all works together really nice. Finishes clean, no excessive booziness, decent bitterness balance.
Overall, I like Sputnik so I wouldn't say anything bad about it, but this is an amazing improvement. I had this with a 2014 FIS and rye barrel aged old rasputin and it more than held its ground. Excellent beer, wish it was bottled!

Probably my favorite beer from them. The bourbon nose was outstanding but not overpowering. Taste was a velvety smooth, vanilla, chocolate, a bit of spice from the barrel with a nice barrel presence. Not too boozy, but you could definitely tell it was double digits. Fantastic offering.

5oz pour at Pinthouse Pizza. Very dark, maybe black (too dark in here to tell), no head. Big bourbon and wood nose. Boozy, vanilla, faint coffee, anise. Medium light body and low carbonation. Will drink this every chance I get.
