The crazy thing is how slammable this beer is and I'm talking smooth to the point of being dangerous! I'm used to knocking back a few Founders All Day IPAs or (god forbid) chembeers on a weekend but a couple of these suckers gave my liver a run for its money.
Look: Pale copper with light straw hue. Very pretty and had a nice lasting head that started out somewhere round two fingers and bubbled down to 1/2 in about 10 minutes.
Smell: Faint but identifiable floral & herb. (Leaning towards floral) No dank (thank goodness).
Taste: Great taste. Very crisp. If you're looking to get drunk without tasting the alcohol this is a good bet. That being said I'm a big pale ale fan and it reminds me a bit of some of the English style pales plus some more floral/herbal notes found in a lot of Colorado beers (Think Odell's Rupture IPA or Stone's Delicious IPA).
Feel: This is where it needs work. While it is a good beer the mouthfeel is lacking and comes off as watery.
Summary: Quirky and fun with enough alcohol to knock out a mule. Taste is good but mouthfeel is thin. If I was still in college this would probably be exactly the beer I'd want for a night of partying during spring break at Breckenridge.

Austin Beerworks / Odell Brewing Winter Collaboration Limited Release.
7.5% ABV. "Colorado-style session IPA." (I'm from Colorado and have no idea what that means, and apparently 7.5% is "session" now?)
16 fl oz can with a great colorful label. Canned 01.09.18. Standard pull-tab.
Served cold.
APPEARANCE: Pale copper body. Frothy white head. ~10cm head height. ~7 minute head retention.
Obviously filtered judging by its clarity.
Not unique or special, but appealing for an IPA.
AROMA: Hops are evident, as well they should be. Floral, herbaceous, fruity. Mango, pineapple, guava. Balancing 2-row pale malt.
Aromatic intensity is average. Hardly the pungent "dank" aroma the kids these days seem after, but I find it enticing.
No piney, citrusy, grapefruity, resinous, or grassy hop aromatics are detectable.
Not boozy or off in any way.
TASTE: Herbaceous, floral, slightly oily, and fruity, boasting a nice mellow hop profile with balanced bitterness. Mango, subtle resin, faint hop oil, and fresh herbal flavours combine to good effect. Bitterness is kept in check by the pale malt/2-row.
Balanced yet approachable with a nice hop profile. Average depth of flavour, flavour duration, and flavour intensity. Not as pungent as would be ideal with respect to its hops, but it's hoppy enough; I guess "session" refers more to the restraint of the hops than the restraint of the alcohol content with respect to this beer's marketing.
TEXTURE: Smooth, coating, wet, medium-bodied, slightly oily, well-carbonated, somewhat refreshing.
Not gushed, boozy, astringent, harsh, rough, or scratchy. Doesn't betray its ABV.
To be critical, it's somewhat thin and doesn't feel robust on the palate.
OVERALL: It's easy to see why Odell and Austin Beerworks wanted in on the easy money from this Johnny-come-lately 4 pint can pack format, but they deliver with this competent IPA that will please but not dazzle fans of either brewery. It's got a nice hop profile and it's well-balanced without obliging this India Odwalla Ale fad that's plagued the country of late. Well worth trying even at ~$10ish per 4 16 fl oz cans, and a beer I'd probably buy once or twice a year if offered for $10 per sixer. It won't displace Lone Pint in the Texan IPA market, but it's pretty good stuff.
