Bought a four pack at Total Wine. Poured the first one into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint.
Look: There was serious settling in this brew. I only pour half at a time, and the first half did not look at all like a Milkshake IPA. It looked more like an unfiltered or slightly hazy IPA. The second half of the beer was very cloudy and had sizable chunks of sediment floating around in it, which I strained out. I shook and let the second can settle and it was much more Milkshake-like.
Smell: Multiple citrus smells and pure hoppy goodness as soon as you crack the can.
Taste: Fantastic fruit flavors of orange, pineapple, guava, mango, etc. It has just enough malt backbone to offset the fruit bomb that explodes on your taste buds.
Feel: After shaking the second can to get the sediment up and re-disbursed, it has a typical Milkshake feel.
Overall: Aside from the settling, this is a really strong Milkshake IPA offering. If you're a fan of the style, find this! (Just shake them up a bit before opening.)
