33cl bottle split with my wife after walking 8.6 miles through Rome today. As long as it were liquid, toxic sludge might taste good right now. Bottle dated 2-23-19; may as well have saved the ink. No idea what that means.
Pour - looks like an IPA, yellow-orange. Smell - orange, dankness, light yeasts. Not bad.
No War - Rye IPA is a refreshing & spot on the style. The rye presents as Iowa grassland earth with just a faint spicy note, & I prefer my ryes vice versa. Mid-palate are Roman oranges (there are some falling right out the window of our villa), riled up yeast, grain-infused peaches, very mild bitterness. It's the earthiness & yeast that sticks around for a nightcap. Disappearing like beer down my gullet.
Very nice. Good thing I didn't have buckets of this, because I'd probably drown. Good beer.
