~$8 AUD at a beer store in Cairns (for a 375ml can).

Very basic red ale...amber malts, faint nectary hops, finishes a bit metallic.

Not great, but not bad by any stretch.

In a 330 ml bottle. L. Hard to tell, but appears appropriate. S. Even with my nose, a lot going on. Fruity, a touch yeasty and malty. T. Follows the smell, but the hop fruitiness and citrus is dominant. That's a shame for mine, it takes no imagination to overhop a beer. F. Appropriate, not overly carbonated or frothy. O. Over rated here for mine, another craft beer with lots of hop flavour and little else.

Trying the Nail Red at Sail & Anchor in Freo. It poured a hazy amber with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent has a nice orange spice flare. The taste is quite nice...good citrus bitterness evened by sweet malt. The Mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's good....i like it.

A. Tried this red ale on tap at Bosc Bar. Cost $9 for 425 ml schooner. Poured into a glass. Colour is copper red. 1cm head.

S. Tropical fruit citrus smell. Good.

T. Initially slight bitterness lingers a little but very crisp and fresh. I like this. Very quaffable, tasty punch up front and some nice maltiness.

M. Nicely carbonated, slight lacing. Nothing to complain about very refreshing.

O. Bravo. Nice bitterness, fruity and punchy red ale which i would drink more frequently if it was more widely available at bottle shops. Definitely one to come back to.

Hazy reddish amber body, dense beige head. Subtle nose; spicy, citrusy hops, toasty, biscuity, slightly caramel malts. Palate has some nice caramelly, nutty, biscuity malts, counterbalanced with a generous measure of citrus, pine & tropical fruit hop character. Moderately high bitterness, smooth finish. Easy drinking, plenty of flavour.
