Collaboration with Mikkeller San Diego
We hosted Mikkeller San Diego's Head Brewer Daniel Cady to be our guest blender for a day. What he and our brewers arrived at was a blend of spontaneously fermented sour ales aged in French Oak on second use plums and Syrah grapes. Funky, tart, and juicy, with just a touch of fruit and oak character.

Peach and nectarine orange colored body sporting a thin yet lasting and creamy head; some fine sheeting action inside the glass. Rich, fresh stone fruit aroma; honey and peaches; citrus, like tangerines; a bit malty; some brett funk. Sweet and tangy flavor; pineapple, grapefruit, and orange; tart and acidic; some underlying maltiness. Medium body; velvety yet with a tangy bite; more sweet than dry overall.
This beer delivers a very fine wild ale experience, more fruity and textured than many beers of the same styling. The esters are crazy here and really bring some wonderful flavors to the palate.
