Eagles Rest is a blend of 2+ year old French Oak and Bourbon Barrel-aged krieks, aged in fresh Heaven Hill Select Bourbon barrels For an additional 4 months. The tart cherries and funky brett character of our aged krieks is mellowed by the soft vanilla and toasty notes from the American Oak bourbon barrels.

Best beer by logsdon in year, absolutely fantastic and complex. Dark burgundy lambic body with a dark white ring. Tart and acidic cherry starts the smell with vivaciousness before submerging into the depths of bourbon, molasses, vanilla, toasty oak, and earth, before bretty funk and slight char round out. Taste is dark in nature but doesn't get bogged down by the bourbon, the lambic notes star as they should while accenting the bourbon barrel flavors, funk grows as it warms in a rewarding way. Oak is omnipresent in a meaningfully rustic and rich way. Such warmth for a lambic, goes well with the acidity and tartness, oak shape body significantly. Certainly heavier for a lambic, but a great new world take on the style, ambitious
