Our Italian-style Pilsner is brewed with a carefully selected blend of heritage barleys for a softer malt contribution, and a focus on hop aroma. German Tettnanger, Spalter Select, Hallertau Mittelfruh, and Saphir hops create an aromatic floral, spicy backbone to this clean and easy drinking Pilsner variant.

Pale, extremely clear yellow; coarse and lively carbonation; thick and frothy head, white and sticky. An interesting nose blend of young wheat and green grass; green herbs such as thyme and rosemary. Fine light malt base flavor with a rather bold, sharp hop bitterness; green. Light to medium body; crisp; very gentle warmth overall with a subliminal bite.
Well, what we have here is a generally fine pilsner, coarse and rough in some respects, low-key and initially elusive yet, ultimately, eye-opening subtleties with the looks and mouthfeel. I'd like to explore this one again and again...

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high fluffy white head that has excellent retention properties and hardly died down and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of floral and spicy hops are present in the nose along with hints of tangerine.
T: The taste follows the smell and is very hop-forward with underlying hints of biscuit-like malts. The hops also contribute a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, clean, and rather dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a well-hopped pilsner that exhibits nice aromas and flavors of floral and spicy hops.

Being an Italian American, this one makes Raul mighty proud. I would straight up serve this next to my Noni’s Risotto, and I would party the rocks off all night. I’d high five my Papa - who fought in the Battle of Coral Sea during WWII - and I just imagine that life would be happy.
Cheers.

16 fl oz pull-tab can initial impression from a single nabbed in Colorado:
4.9% ABV. "Italian-style Pilsner." "Dry-hopped lager."
Soft and minerally with a marvelously grassy and slightly spicy hop profile that screams classic Noble. Pilsner malt buoys this balanced lager. Drinks fresh, soft, and easy, with a smooth, wet, refreshing light to medium-bodied mouthfeel.
Sure, it could use a bit less weight on the palate given they're after a pilsner, and the hop profile could be grassier and fresher still, but it's a balanced attempt at the style with a nice bit of graininess to its malt bill.
I don't dig the subtle doughiness of the yeast, which is my biggest issue with the brewery.
Drinkable and enjoyable. More good work from one of the U.S.A.'s finest breweries.

16 oz. can. Pours clear golden. Smells of doughy malt and a spicy hops backdrop. Tastes of hops throughout. Spicy, nicely bitter, a little bit grassy. Maintains a soft bready malt profile throughout. Light, crisp, flavorful. A touch selztery, but otherwise very impressive.

Clear bubbly golden body with 2 fingers of white foam and moderate lacing. Rustic white bread leads the mild mannered smell with grass, and a kiss of earth. Taste builds, grains come out to play with lemon zest, hay, and herbal qualities to the hop finish with the grass. Feel is light, medium brightness, crisp, and crushable. Better than peroni!

This one pours a very pale straw yellow color. Lightly cloudy. Thick pillowy white head dissipates almost as quickly as it farms leaving just a thin layer of foam on top of the beer.
Aroma has notes of sweet straw, white bread, with a nice hoppy aroma that is lightly spicy, but also very green and fresh.
Taste follows the nose with notes of white bread, straw, and a spicy herbal hop bite on the back end lingering into the finish. There is an odd light tangy flavor that I suspect is coming from the yeast, but I am not 100% sure. If it was a bit clearer, this would be delicious.
Feel is light, crisp, vibrant and refreshing. Lightly dry on the finish with a slight bitterness that coats the palate.
Overall a really nice pilsner, and enjoyable. But with that slight tanginess in the flavor profile, I am not sure I'd pick it up again.
