Pours a honey tinged lighter golden with a sticky half finger white head atop.Aromas of grassy hops and herb wich is much more pronounced on the palate.Sharp citric flavors with an annoying dried parsley note wich is very concentrated and makes the beer rather unpleasant in the finsh.Iam not sure what the consentrated herbal flavors come from but they take away from what could be a very good beer.

Poured from the tap at the Ass Clown Brewery into a pint glass.
Aroma- Citrus and wheat a nice clean smell.
Appearance- A murky gold color with a medium sized white head.
Taste- A well blended mix of citrus and hops. The hop flavor is not the over-riding flavor that is common for IPAs.
Palate- A medium bodied brew with moderate carbonation.
Overall - A unique style f an IPA. If you can find this beer I highly recommend trying it.

Label states : Ass Clown Brewing Company Lemon Wheat "India Pale Ale" (Ale brewed with spice). 6.7% abv, no IBU listed and no specific info listed on the Ass Clown website as of this writing, other than it being a rotaitonal offering. No brewing bottling date shown. 22-oz bomber poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance : A slightly hazy light gold with good carbonation ; there was an immediate two-inch head comprised of tiny bubbles which subsides rather quickly. Less lacing retention in the glass than many IPAs I've tried. Appearance-wise, it could be mistaken for a Belgian golden ale.
Smell : Tart lemon dominates, with a faint bit of grapefruit, and just a hint of wheat/grass and indiscernible spice (cinnamon ?) .
Taste : While this is advertised as an IPA, I don't taste a predominance of hops that one expects from the style. It is bitter, to be sure, but the hops are VERY well balanced by the tart/sour aspects of the lemon, and I also get the crispness that is often inherent in wheat beers. The 6.7% abv seems pretty well-hidden.
Feel : Bubbly and slightly acidic, and definitely not dense. Reminds me somewhat of champagne, but not as bubbly.
Overall : A refreshingly different and interesting take on a very popular style of beer. In fact, Ass Clown may have invented the IPA Shandy. Definitely should not be served as someone's introduction to IPAs, as it is nowhere near representative of the style. And probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoyed this one. Would be very refreshing on a warm day, as a good accompaniment to lemon or citrus-forward foods, or just as a change of pace from the glut of taste-alike brews out there.
