L - pours a slightly thin-looking light black. Frothy course bubbly head quickly settles. Leaves legs when swirled!
S - definitely get that peanut butter! Some sweet milk chocolate, but the aroma isn't too dark and suffocating. Almost a topical type aroma. The lightness comes from the hops I'd imagine.
T - the nose has more choco PB than the taste. Kinda disappointing. There is some underlying peanut butter that creeps to the surface of the senses toward the end. Taste is thinner all around. Almost porter like. I may have to rescind some of the previous statements because once the beer warmed, the PB came out in full force. A deep, decadently rich flavor. Yes.
F - thin, like the rest of the beer, but retains a silky smoothness. The feel will always be satisfying in Ass Clown beers. In fact, AC has this to say about it: "Our ales lack filtration and utilize lower carbonation to maximize flavor." Gotta hand it too em'. So after it warmed and I added the yeast sediment to the mix, the mouth feel ramped up big time! This is rich and creamy and peanut butter cuppy!
O - a fun beer with good peanut butter flavor. The rest of the beer has a ways to go, but they deliver on the flavor they promised, and that's always worth something.
