A Hazy Cloudy IPA Double Dry Hopped with Ekuanot and Simcoe Hops. This IPA is one of our "In Your Face" IPA's. This brew has a nice bitterness with a great dank Piney finish.

This is a slightly hazy, effervescent straw-colored beer topped by a medium pebbly white head that leaves thick bands of lacing; head retention is modest. The nose is medium in intensity; it leads with pineapple and bready malt, which are quickly overtaken by a vinous character consisting of white wine and hints of green grapes and spicy florals, topped by slight alcohol overtones. Up front, the palate is medium-bitter pineapple with vinous hints and a modest bittersweet nutty malt character. Mid-palate, the vinous character becomes more prominent and the hops expand to show modest pine notes and a bit of melon and spicy florals; the nutty malt character intensifies a bit, but the hops continue to run the show. The finish is a very mild hit of citrus, and is fairly astringent and dry; the linger is an assertive resinous pine bitterness that lasts awhile. Retrogustative olfaction is candy-like and slightly grassy. Mouthfeel is slightly astringent and is biggish for the light body; the texture is medium-creamy, quite slick and medium-peppery from the well-expressed carbonation. (16 oz can, 36 days after pkg)
