I love this beer! It's one the best local beers I have ever had. The smell is so potent and rich. It almost smells like candy or a sweet. The appearance was dark with a midnight blue tint. I think the taste was the spot on. Not to much blueberry but the blueberry does stand out. Ass clown has the great line up of taps in the tasting room.

Big thanks to scott for sharing this with us at our most recent tasting!
from a growler purchased at the brewery into a snifter.
pours out almost opaque black, but actually is a really dark brown color. a nice retentive tan colored head with just some small spots of lace.
big blueberry hits the nose right off the bat. as it warms a bit the porter qualities become more apparent. bits of milk chocolate and roasted malt.
again, the blueberries are definatly at the forefront. lots of juicy, tart blueberries. also some roasted malt and chocolate fruit like candies.
light bodied, just a bit too weak. quite a bit of tartness from the blueberries.
overall, a pretty solid beer, i could see chicks liking this, but its something thats easily sessionable. i wouldve enjoyed a little less blueberry and more of a chocolatey porter.

Thanks to Scott for sharing this.
A: Pours a deep brown with wispy tan head. It almost has a burgundy tint to it.
S: Very fruit forward. More blueberry jam than fresh blueberries. Dark chocolate. Smokey malts. Hints of tobacco. Very complex aroma.
T: reminds me of fruit flavored chocolate. The fruit/chocolate contrast here is great. Very balanced. Extremely sessionable. Very delicious.
M: very light. A bit over carbonated but not overwhelming.
O: very tasty beer. I could see this being a very popular fall beer if it ever sees distribution. Great blend of flavors. Check it out if you get a chance.
