Served by brewery rep's at the 2012 NC Brewers Fest.
A: pours reddish brown; very dark; clear; limited head.
S: Spicy caramel and rye with spicy hops.
T: Wow! This has a lot of flavor! The hops are certainly noticeable, as expected, but the caraway seeds must have been added in quantity because they actually seem to have a stronger flavor than that of the hops. Has a quite bitter finish and aftertaste with caraway and hops flavoring.
M: medium body; medium-light carbonation.
O: unique but challenging, and a (temporary) palate destroyer.

Enjoyed at the 3rd Annual Black & Blue. Thanks brawleys!
A - murky, brown muddy color with very little head and light, spotty lacing
S - herbal caraway component with some light toffee in the background
T - caraway dominates on a rye malt base that has a bit of sweetness; not much hop presence; some off-flavors towards the end might just be the caraway but seemed a bit sour
M - light-medium bodied with light carbonation; slightly coating mouthfeel with long herbal linger
O - not my favorite ass clown beer at black & blue. it seemed a bit heavy handed with the herbs and malts. i didn't get much hops which i think may have balanced some of the other flavors. lots of others at the event liked this beer so maybe it was just a personal palate thing.
