Bottle. Aroma is a bit of dank, sweet orange peel, some bready malt, and a hint of caramel. The color is a bit darker than I expected. It is a cloudy amber color with a thin light tan head. I'm assuming this beer is unfiltered since there is a decent amount of sediment. Taste is much brighter and hop forward than I anticipated from the color. There is some resinous hops up front, some orange citrus notes, some biscuity malts and a touch of honey sweetness. It has a semi-light body with moderate carbonation. Finishes pretty clean with just a little bit of citrus flavors lingering. Overall an enjoyable, fresh IPA that showcases the hops nicely.

The name of this brewery is fantastic!!! Much like my fantasy sports teams name...No Talent Ass Clowns...this brewer however has talent! My buddy from Huntersville, NC brought a bottle from up over the 4th. The beer pours a cloudy amber with thin slightly offwhite head that is leaving a spotty lace. The smell is subtle....some malt and hints of hops. The taste is decently balanced between malt and hop. I definitely wanted more citra flare but I will take what I can get. The mouthfeel is medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall this is a decent beer!

Thanks to Rusel_G for the bottle.

Appearance: Pours a deep rich copper with a slight chill haze that drops after a bit, leaving a relatively clear beer. Head is a dirty-off-white. Creamy with a tight bubble structure and solid retention, leaving a 1cm cap for the duration. Minimal lacing. Above average carbonation on the pour.

Smell: Sadly, right off the bat is a waxy slightly oxidized aroma. Under it is a solid malt backbone pushing some deep bready notes along with some caramel malt. Sweet with a bit of a raw earthy edge. Light leafy hop profile has some hints of tropical, mango and tangerine, coupled with some more direct grapefruit flesh.

Taste: A light dusting of tropical Citra flavors. Some tangerine with a bit of grapefruit. Solid malt profile is decidedly bready with a strong cooked and caramelized malt sweetness. Some earthy and leafy notes. Same oxidation/waxy thing comes through and detracts a bit.

Mouthfeel: Above average carbonation on a medium body. Dry and a bit rough around the edges.

Overall: Don't make yourself look like yourself.

A letdown. Citra can do no wrong, and it didn't. However, the oxidized bottle and average malt profile didn't really give me much to go on. There's potential in there, but as it stands, it's less than a cut below the rest.
